Ademola Adeleke a PDP Senator of Osun State, who recently emerge the governorship primary flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, has been charged to court by some aggrieved members of the party over failure to provide his first school leaving certificate.
Sen Adeleke Charge To Court For Lack Of Certificates:
The members are seeking that the court grants a temporary injunction over the just concluded results of the recent election, following that Adeleke has no First School Leaving Certification.
The members also appealed to the jury to grant an order that would prevent the Osun PDP from forwarding Adeleke’s name to (INEC) the Independent National Electoral Commission ahead of the September 22nd governorship poll.
However, the case came up for mention yesterday, Wednesday, July 25th, the counsel for the applicants, Mathew Ayandokun, pleaded to the court for a temporary order, to put Adeleke’s victory on hold as well as stop the INEC from accepting his nomination as the party’s flag bearer.
Senator Adeleke, who currently do not have his certificate, has failed to produce his First School Leaving Certificate, Ayandokun after the court hearing has revealed to journalists that his client is challenging Adeleke in court.
Adeleke’s lawyer, Edmond Biri-Omoni, however, has denied these allegations.
Biri-Omoni, while addressing journalists insisted that his client has a certificate. He added that it would be proper for him and his client to be put on notice and served with the necessary papers before coming to court.
Justice David Oladimeji adjourned ruling on the application till Thursday, 26th July
