Abbey Ukpukpen Wins Bye-Election In Cross River State

Abbey Ukpukpen, wife of Late Honourable Stephen Ukpukpen who was nominated by the Cross River State Government and the entire state PDP to replace her husband vacant seat was elected into office yesterday.

ABEEY UKPUKPEN WINS BYE-ELECTION IN CROSS RIVER STATE

Abbey Ukpukpen, was, however, elected in what was seen to be a bye-election in Obudu local government area of Cross State, Nigeria.

CROSS RIVER STATE OBUDU BYE-ELECTION

Hon. Abbey Ukpukpen, however, won the Obudu state constituency bye-election with 12,712 votes under PDP, defeating her closest rival Mr Ishamali Bendel of the APC 4,345 votes, MPN 132 votes and ADC 114 Votes. 

The State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr Frankland Briyai, announced the result on Sunday in Obudu, Headquarters of Obudu Local Government.
