Senate President Saraki’s World Press

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has currently addressed a World Press Conference at the National Assembly in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria.

Senator Saraki addressed siege that was carried out by the officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) on the Assembly complex.

Saraki, however, condemned the action of the security operatives and described it as “an assault” on the nation’s democracy and an absent to the rule of law.

Senate President Saraki’s World Press:

The Senate President added that the barricade of the National Assembly gate by security officials was a show of shame which should not have happened in the place instance.

He said the incident was an act of cowardice by those who sought to execute an illegal impeachment without the backing of the law.

Senator Saraki, however, reiterated an earlier warning where he said there was “a government within a government,” stressing that it beat his imagination how such an incident was allowed to happen.

Although Saraki commended Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for his quick response to the issue, he noted that the damage control has not addressed how Tuesday’s incident occurred.

Nevertheless, The sacked DSS Boss has maintained his stand, saying he was following orders from above. However, the APC and Presidency have debunked any connection to the siege that took place yesterday.

Most Senators and Members, however, believes sacking the DSS former Boss was just damage control, to distance the incident from the Executive arm.

BillzboxMedia, however honestly thinks the Former DSS Boss could not just act on his on occurred, they were more too it
