Following the dismissal of former DSS boss Lawal Daura, President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mr. Bichi Yusuf Magaji as new Department of State Services (DSS) Director, on Thursday 13th September 2018.
According to a statement by Mr. Garba Shehu, a Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, His appointment, however, takes effect from September 14th, 2018
YUSUF BICHI TAKES OVER FROM MATTHEW SEIYEIFA, AS NEW DSS DIRECTOR:
Mr. Bichi is expected to take over from Mr. Matthew Seiyeifa who has been in the acting DSS Boss, following the former Director Lawal Daura’s Dismissal by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Mr. Bichi is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he graduated with a degree in Political Science, before this time, Mr. Yusuf Bichi, attended Kano State College of Advanced Studies
President Buhari Appoints Yusuf Bichi As New DSS Boss:
Yusuf Bichi, started the early days of his career as an officer in the Cabinet Office of Kano security division, whereafter,he joined the defunct Nigerian Security Organization (NSO), which was later transformed into DSS.
Mr. Bichi has undergone vast intelligence training, processing analysis as well as agent handling recruitment also intelligence processing in the UK, and strategic training at the National Defence College.
