Famous Nigerian rapper Onome Onokohwomo, better known by his stage name Yung6ix, has lamented profusely following the modalities in which awards are given in the Nigerian music and entertainment industry.
Yung6ix, who took to social media to express his grieve has brought to the notice of the public that for you to win an award in Nigeria, you only get what you pay for says Yung6ix.
Yung6ix, went further in his lament, to state that he can not pay a producer, pay a director, pay promoters and also expect to pay organisers of the awards to give him an award given his hard work?
It will be recalled that the Hip Hop Rapper Yung6ix have had a series of nominations in the past, he was nominated for Nigeria Entertainment Awards Most Promising Act, The Headies 2012 Best Rap Single “Oh My Gosh,” 2013 Nigeria Music Video Awards Best Hip-hop Video, and won The Abuja Music and Meritorious Award National Act Of The Year Award in 2013.
Nigerian Rapper Yung6ix Blast Award Organisers:
In 2014, Yung6ix was also nominated for the City People Entertainment Award for Rap Artist of the Year and City People Entertainment Award for Rap Album of the Year in 2016 respectively.
Yung6ix, however, has blasted the award organisers to keep their plagues and bring him his cash.
