A famous Nigerian institute, The University of Lagos (UNILAG), today, has announced to commence broadcasting its television station the (UNILAG TV) from Thursday 17th, January 2019.
This was, however, made known by the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, who spoke at a press conference, during the unveiling of the UNILAG TV logo.
However, Prof. Ogundipe, speaking with the press, stated that the UNILAG TV, will com broadcasting International, National, and Local news.
“Today, we are elated to see this great dream come to full manifestation while trailing the blaze not only in Nigeria but in the whole of West Africa,” Ogundipe said.
Ogundipe added that UNILAGTV would be showing on Startimes Digital Broadcasting Channel 184.
Ogundipe added that the station would be among the most trusted news sources in Nigeria through fair, creativity, factual, credible, timely and innovative news reporting.
“Our team of world-class professionals are set to inject fresh ideas and energies that will take broadcasting to the next level in Nigeria.
“The UNILAG TV Channel 184 will also serve as a reference point in sports reporting, documentaries, quality entertainment as well as an instrument of educational advancement.”
“It should be noted that the university was issued operational television license on November 9, 2017, by the Federal Government of Nigeria,” said Ogundipe
