ASUU Suspends 3 Months Strike 8 days to Election!

The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU, has suspended the 3 months old strike after the signing of an agreement between the union and  representatives of the federal government led by the minister of labour, Chris Ngige at a meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

Respite appears to have come the way of students of public institutions as lecturers have been instructed to return to class on the 12th of February.

However, public commentators have called this a political move as it is just few days to the general election and the incumbent feel a need to score some political points before the polls.
