President Muhammadu Buhari has secured a second term as head of Africa’s most populous nation after beating former vice-president Atiku Abubakar by nearly 4m votes. The election which was held last saturday saw results being collated for nearly 3 days.
Buhari pulled a total of 15, 191 , 847 votes to beat closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Part PDP.
However, The opposition Party PDP and it’s candidate Atiku Abubakar has rejected the votes citing allegations of massive rigging, intimidation and intentional disenfranchisement by the electoral body INEC.
