Lady Gaga has refuted rumors of a romance with her ‘A Star is Born’ co-star, Bradley Cooper. The pair put up an intimate display during their performance of the song ‘Shallow’ at the recently held Oscars, triggering speculations from fans.

Reacting to this in a recent chat with TV host Jimmy Kimmel , the 32-year-old slammed everyone who had taken to social media to spread the rumors, insisting that it was simply acting on stage.
In her words:
“First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the Internet and what it’s done to pop culture is abysmal. People saw love and, guess what, that’s what we wanted to you to see. This is a love song. The movie ‘A Star Is Born’, it’s a love story. From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time. When you’re singing love songs, that’s how you want people to feel.”
