Given INEC’s election postponement in Nigeria, The National Assembly has suspended its plenary resumptions as initially scheduled for February 19th, 2019.
The National Assembly, however, has rescheduled its resumption for February 26th, given INEC’s new elections scheduled.
This was, however, made public following a statement issued through the National Assembly Clark Mohammed Sani-Omolori, who said that plenary has to be shifted because of the postponement of the presidential and National Assembly elections.
MOHAMMED SANI-OMOLORI’s STATEMENT READS:
“This is to inform all Distinguished Senators, and Honorable members that resumption of plenary session earlier scheduled for Tuesday 19th February 2019 has been postponed to Tuesday 26th February 2019 due to the postponement of the national elections.
legislative activities would fully resume on February 26, 2019, at 10 am.”
