TMZ reports that singer R. Kelly has been directing his attention and focus on producing new music as he sees the writing process as a form of therapy.
It is also gathered that the new music isn’t for public consumption as he does not have any plans to release the music. However the music is meant to distract him from the legal battles, revelations and public backlash after the release of the Documentary ‘Surviving R.Kelly’.
Sony and RCA dropped him earlier this month following renewed backlash against the singer’s alleged sexual misconduct so he will be looking into independent distribution, which would allow him to put out the album without any record-label involvement
Kelly was released on Saturday from Cook County Jail after a benefactor helped to cover his unpaid child support. The singer is however still facing 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse in Chicago, new sexual conduct allegations in Detroit and multiple federal investigations and all these is taking a toll on him.
Just last week, he broke down and lost control as he ranted and wept during a CBS interview. The interview left many viewers with thoughts that he was either faking it or having a very real breakdown.
