Members of the Empire cast have showed their full support for actor, Jussie Smollett.
Some members of the cast, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Bryshere Y. Gray, Gabourey Sidibe, and Nicole Ari Parker have signed a letter calling on executives to bring Jussie back for the next season.
Recall that Smollett faced backlash after being indicted on 16 felony counts for filing a false police report in connection to an alleged homophobic attack.
Following the scandal, he was cut off subsequent episodes of the series.
However, the charges were eventually dropped and the 36-year-old entertainer maintains he was telling the truth about the attack on January 29.
Besides Smollett’s co-stars defending him, a Change.org petition has been set up to convince Fox to officially reinstate the actor.
Empire co-creator, Lee Daniels in a recent interview also maintained that he still stands by Jussie and they are “in talks” about his return.
