President Buhari appoints ex-Super Eagles player, Amokachi as Nigeria’s Football Ambassador

 

 

President Buhari has appointed retired Nigerian professional footballer, former Super Eagles player and Assistant Coach, Daniel Amokachi as Nigeria’s Football Ambassador.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Garba Shehu.

Amokachi had a great football career both within and outside Nigeria.

Following his football exploits particularly in England, he went on retirement but still continued to manage Nassarawa United and Enyimba Football club, Aba.

As Nigeria’s football Ambassador, Amokachi will assist the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to scout for talents, engage in the revival of the country’s football development and provide mentorship for young men and women in sports
